Meet Cheryl Motta, MD

Cheryl Motta, MD, is a neonatologist at CHRISTUS Children's. She is the medical director for the neonatal intensive care unit and the director of quality for the NICU. She has a passion for quality improvement and leads the robust quality improvement program for the NICU. Our quality improvement program utilizes standardized evidence-based guidelines for the care of neonates to improve the care of our patients. Dr. Motta also serves as the neonatology rotation director for Baylor College of Medicine’s residency program.

Dr. Motta’s special interests include quality improvement and patient safety, care of extreme premature infants and graduate medical education. Away from the NICU, she enjoys running, playing the guitar and piano and spending time with her three sons.
