CHRISTUS Children’s Mobile Health Clinic provides children and their immediate family members with essential services such as wellness exams, treatment for minor illnesses, and vaccines in one convenient location.
The mobile clinic team offers referrals for specialty care, education, assistance applying for Medicaid and CHIP and prescription assistance.
Children can also receive Early Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) evaluations aimed at providing comprehensive and preventive health care services for Medicaid recipients under 21. EPSDT helps ensure access to preventative, dental, vision, hearing, mental health, and specialty services.
Our mission is to serve the needs of children from uninsured/underinsured families who live in vulnerable communities across San Antonio. As a goal, we aim to establish medical homes for every child in the target area, reduce emergency room visits, increase immunization rates, and increase parents' knowledge of health topics.
The mobile clinic travels to schools all over San Antonio and surrounding communities to provide essential services and screenings. We have partnered with Edgewood, Harlandale, North East Independent School Districts, and many others to ensure children and their immediate family members receive care without leaving their school district.
Our clinic hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m
